Wembdon FC along with everyone else are concerned about the the global COVID-19 outbreak.

As a junior football club with over 250 players, their well-being along with the coaches and match day spectators are our priority and health protection is the top priority for everyone at this moment.

As a club we will continue to be in constant dialogue with the Taunton & District Youth League for guidance and support and when in a position to do so, we will provide further updates.

Below is the latest official FA Statement regarding the Coronavirus.

Dear All,

For now, the Taunton & District Youth League will continue with its fixtures across all age groups and will continue to monitor the current situation daily.

Advice and Guidance

  • If anyone feels unwell and has any symptoms like the coronavirus then the latest Government advice is to stay at home for 7 days.
  • There are 2 specific symptoms to be aware of:

– A new continuous cough

– A high temperature

  • Promote best practice for hygiene, ensuring cleaning is effective and soaps/sanitisers are provided where possible

Please note: The Taunton & District Youth League have decided that there should be no handshakes before any match starts until further notice.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your age group secretary for further information.

Thanks

Taunton & District Youth League
