Sadly, we have received confirmation that The Taunton Youth League have decided to declare the current season void.
However, the good news is the Girls leagues are going to continue to allow completion their seasons.
Wembdon FC would just like to take this opportunity to say thank everyone for their efforts to ensure all the games were undertaken in safe and controlled conditions in line with our current Covid-19 procedures and continue to do so in the future.
Age group coaches will update parents and players on their plans for a safe return to training, summer training and the possibility friendlies.
We are already planning for the new 2021 / 2022 season and hope to see everyone again soon at the Green.

Taunton Youth League statement in full
“The Committee of the Taunton Youth League met recently via Zoom to discuss our options with regards to finishing the season, this follows on from the survey we sent round to club secretaries and various conversations that league officers have had with clubs within the League as to their findings, where they have spoken to managers and parents of their players. We also took into account our duty of care to everybody and playing facilities and the current Pandemic situation.
Having taken all of these matters into due consideration, we have decided to declare the season void.
We know this is not the way we would have all hoped our 2020/21 season would end but we know we will be back in 21/22 bigger and better.
More details of what clubs can do over the summer and what we will be doing next season will be sent out shortly.
